Redecorating my living room

So, one of the many things I like is art, decor, designing and now, thanks to my Dad's permission, I have the chance to actually redocarate my living room. I am totally excited with this opportunity as now I can choose what sofas to place, what accessories to add, what wall art to create and hang, etc etc.

Contemporary decor, I strong believe, looks smart, minimalist, confident, sexy, sophisticated and sheek. But what I m really ecstatic about is that finally after years of visualizing stuff in my mind, I will be able to (to a certain extent only - considering the space and budget constraints) turn them into Reality.

The action began today and I hope to complete this project by Dec end, considering a lot of art work will go into it as well. I just hope I dont go broke by the end of it. :)

I love it when I am independently responsible for getting somehting done; it gets me going. I just hope my laziness doesnt take over me when it comes to artwork. Nevertheless, Im super happy, thanks to my parents, I finally got to do what I always wanted to. Yippie!

Girlie blog?

Pal, if you're reading, just because I wrote about this knit i-phone and put a pic of it and found it CUTE, doesnt mean this blog is all girlie :)

I wish to live up to "Intelligent" and "funny" - words you used to describe this blog.

And if 'girlie' makes you come visit this blog more often, good for me :)

Keep visiting!

Any comments? :)

Now! Now! I find this so cute that I am contemplating getting one of these :)
Ok, so here's the story:
This person asked his mom to knit an i-phone so his kid would stop playing with his iphone :)

Contemplating buying the i-phone!

Having gone ga-ga over the much hyped i-phone (after handling the one bought by a relative for about 5 mins), and wishing to own one asap, it is now time that i seriously evaluate the phone vis-a-vis my requirements and needs.

So, I am going to try and put down all the things I would like to do with my new phone (considering I have just purchased a Sony Ericsson K550i about 6 months back) and then will evualuate the iphone in comparison
So here is a list of things I would want to do with my phone:

  • Make calls

  • Send sms, mms (pics and videos)

  • Listen to music (on earphones and on speaker both)

  • Click pictures

  • Create videos

  • Transfer pictures and videos to another computer/laptop/phone

  • Sync outlook calender to my phone's

  • Save contact details like numbers, birthdays, addresses, company, webpages, blog, etc

  • Assign picture to contacts so that the picture appears when they call/ i call. (:))

  • Other must-have common features like Calculator, Notes, Stopwatch, Tasks, alarm, more

  • A torch light would be a bonus (you never know when the lights go out)

  • Surf the internet (Not done it as yet, but would defi like to use it profusely going forward)

  • Click pics and post them to my blog (V V Imp)

  • Blog easily using the phone

  • Exchange pictures to and fro other phones using bluetooth

  • Sending contact info to other people

  • Voice calling when I am in the car

  • Connecting the phone to my Car audio thru an USB

  • Assigning ringtones to callers

  • Not too bulky a phone

  • Connect it to a laptop for internet connectivity

  • Good battery life - v v important (face the dying battery issue very often)

  • Use IMs like MSN, Gtalk

  • Cant think of anythign else

So does the i-phone fit the bill? I will come back soon with some reviews on the i-phone!

What do you want to do with your life? :)

www.43things.com

Hmmm, so i bumped into this site 15 mins back and found it very interesting, in that, you can post things that you want to do in life and set targets and get each or all of those done! cool eh?! :)
What's more? you can see how many other people in the world share your "To-do-thing" and read and write comments on them. I guess if what you want to do is quite unique and uncommon, this is the place where you may find a person or two who share your unique goal in life.

So, this is what I managed in the last 15 mins:
http://www.43things.com/person/HopelessIdealist Wonder what your wish-list looks like? Was quite interesting reading ppl's wish lists. Will browse some more tomorrow.

It is also linked to www.43places.com where you can read about the places you want to visit, share views, track places you want to visit, may be even decide where you want to go after reading comments, etc. Cool eh!

The downer is that I might ending up spending more time on this site, rather than actually doing things I want to with my life. Woah, that reminds me, this should be one of the things in my list! "Not to waste too much time on planning things I wanna do with my life" :)
